Areas of focus

I am currently providing individualized medication management with therapeutic interventions to individuals who are six years old and above.

I am a dual certified nurse practitioner. I began my career in healthcare more than 25 years ago as a nurse aide and worked my way up to my most recent accomplishment of obtaining my Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). I tell you this not to brag, but to show you how hard I have worked to be here for you at this point in your life.

I started my nurse practitioner career in family practice and realized the need for mental health care. I was seeing more and more patients who would benefit from mental health services and would refer them to a mental health provider who might be an hour or further away. It did not take me long to realize that I needed a more rounded education to better serve those individuals.

I have worked in the mental healthcare field exclusively for the past three years. I found a passion for mental health therapy that I did not realize that I had. I offer you a well-rounded, holistic approach to your mental healthcare. I use my family practice knowledge to better assist us in putting together the whole picture, not just snippets of who you are.

If you trust me with your mental healthcare, I promise that together, we will get you to the best version of yourself. Seeking out mental health services can be very scary. Don’t let fear prevent you from discovering how much better your life can be with a little help.

Who I am out of the office

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family. I come from a very large family, so most of my best friends are related to me. I am married and together we blended four children who are all grown. We have six heart-filling grandchildren. My husband and I love to travel. I had the opportunity to travel as a nurse practitioner for about a year and a half. It allowed me the opportunity to see things I would never have seen. The world is a beautiful place.

What does the best version of you look like? Let’s explore that together!

I am grateful that you took the time to read my bio. I know that your time is precious, and I always respect appointment times and don’t leave you hanging or sitting around all day waiting for me to contact you. I hope that you give me a chance to prove how much I care about your mental health.
