So alone

You feel like you’re facing the world on you own and it is normal.

Changes occur and more times than not you feel like you just cannot keep up, and going with the flow is just not working.

Mental and emotional well-being

People often experience stress and don’t know how to cope.

It is important to establish healthy coping skills that will help you reduce your emotional distress or rid yourself of the stressful situations that you face.

Without developing these positive and healthy skills, there is the likelihood of developing negative and harmful coping skills, such as addiction and harmful behavior.

When facing struggles and challenges, you do not need to feel alone. Seeking out mental health services demonstrates a great deal of strength!

A better sense of self

Through mental health therapy, I can help you discover useful tools in order to cope with life’s troubles, enabling you to have the kind of life that you would like to have, including better self-worth and self-esteem.

My goal is to provide mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults in order to facilitate behavior change, improve one’s ability to establish and maintain relationships, and promote positive decision making.

Areas of focus

For over 20 years, I have been helping individuals from all walks of life. Group counseling has been a big part of my experience in a correctional and church setting.

My work with teenagers began shortly after graduating from Prairie View A&M University as I helped reintegrate incarcerated youth back into society.

Ten years ago, I chose to work with children, teens, and adults in private practice and have a passion for helping others achieve constructive changes in their mental health.

I use an integrative approach to client- centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and play therapy.

Who I am out of the office

I love being with my family, including church family and close friends.

I enjoy great food, traveling, and shopping!
