Everyone wants to be loved.
Everyone desires love, but did you know that love begins from within? Have you struggled with relationships with family, friends, or intimate partners?
When facing challenges, has your self-perception been affected?
I want to help you find peace by addressing the self-defeating thoughts and self-sabotaging actions that impact your daily life and interactions. Depression and anxiety can make you lose focus on yourself and your needs. Together, through mental health therapy, we can refocus your attention and overcome the obstacles in your life.
Connecting the dots
It is crucial to address the underlying issues.
Often, mental health counseling is sought when you reach an unbearable peak of negative emotions.
I will collaborate with you to uncover the root of the issue and promote healing from within.
Together, we will explore tools and skills that you can use throughout your life.
Areas of focus
My journey into mental health began in 2012 while working as a Case Manager at Spindletop Centers, sparking my passion for becoming a therapist. My diverse experience includes working with adolescents, at-risk populations dealing with trauma and abandonment, individuals with developmental delays, clients with multiple diagnoses, and families and couples.
My therapeutic approach is characterized by warmth and interactivity and is rooted in respect, sensitivity, empathy, and compassion. I am dedicated to breaking mental health stigmas, especially prevalent in minority and marginalized communities. I blend cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy, tailoring my approach to each client’s unique needs.
Who I am out of the office
When I am not working for NewPath Therapy and Wellness, I enjoy reading about continuing education topics to stay current with changes in the mental health community as well as reading fiction.
I also love baking and decorating cakes, cookies, and treats and have been honing my decorating skills.
Additionally, I enjoy crafting and spending time with my husband and son.
Focusing on your mental health goals
You will reach your goals if you start the journey. If your wellness journey involves others, couples counseling and/or family counseling options can be explored.
