Educational background and areas of focus

  • I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC Associate) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
  • I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Master’s in Counseling and Development – Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling.
  • Mental health and wellness geared towards the areas of children and adolescents, pregnant & postpartum mothers, and family counseling (this is vital to me because strong family units are the foundation for stronger, more productive communities). The ability to communicate and form lifelong healthy relationships is the hallmark of humanity.

Most times, we just need someone to trust with our story.

I like to take a Wholistic Approach because I believe healing starts within. Your mind, body, and spirit are all connected. What is put into your body physically and mentally tends to affect your mind and spirit, so essentially, you are what you consume.

I believe that everyone has their own special journey here on earth, a plan that is set just for them. Throughout my journey of becoming a mental health counselor, I knew that it was my duty to help others navigate the obstacles of life.

From a very young age, I have always been intrigued by human behavior and the causality of decision-making and emotions.

As someone who loves to find a solution, I believe it is equally important to get to the root cause of the issue; therefore during sessions, I will incorporate multiple theories to help you navigate through the complexities of deep-rooted issues within. Some examples may include Mindfulness therapy, Solution therapy, CBT, DBT, Somatic, Narrative Therapy, and Bibliotherapy.

My personal counseling philosophy is rooted in honesty, open-minded empathy, and consistent growth. The tone that I set for my clients is Pure Serenity when they walk into my counseling space. Our sessions are confidential, unbiased, and non-judgmental.

Who I am out of the office

A flourishing 27-year-old mother to a handsome baby boy. The things that I enjoy the most are spending time with my family, reading, practicing yoga, traveling, and best of all shopping.

Schedule a consultation with me so that we can get to the root cause of what is troubling you.

I tend to look at things from the individual’s perspective as I do in every situation. I once read a quote that stated, “It is truly a skill to place ourselves in another person’s position. It is natural for us to see things our way and only consider ourselves.”
