Psychological Assessments & Evaluations
Here at NewPath Therapy & Wellness, we offer psychological assessments and evaluations that can diagnose certain mental health disorders and help our mental health therapists develop a more effective treatment plan that is tailored to your and your particular circumstances.
Why do I need a psychological evaluation?
Even though it may seem overwhelming and scary, psychological testing is actually a tool to help clients better understand themselves. It can help identify problems and allows a therapist to develop a more precise mental health treatment plan. This is a step in the process of healing and recovery.
NewPath Therapy & Wellness is a treatment TEAM.
Psychologists and mental health therapists with NewPath use assessment and evaluations as a resource! Clients are able to gain valuable insight into the best plan for their healing.
In addition, we welcome referrals from others in the mental health, medical, and social service professions. We gladly help to provide diagnostic reports that can be helpful in therapy and treatment plans for your clients as well! Our team collaborates to bring clients the best possible care.
Assessment Experience
Step #1
Book an intake assessment appointment. This is set up with one of our NewPath psychologists, either in one of our offices or online. During this session, your information is gathered to determine which type of testing is best for the issues or symptoms that you describe.
Step #2
Appointments are set for the actual psychological assessments. These can be conducted in our offices as well, and some will be available online for you. This process can take one to three separate appointments. Everything is dependent on different factors involved with your specific symptoms.
Step #3
Finally, a session is scheduled for you and the psychologist to review the results of the testing. That is when the psychological evaluation report is explained and explored with you and we are able to present the suggested treatment plan for your situation.
