Being human is hard. Life can feel overwhelming, messy, and full of unexpected twist. As a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, I believe in the power of your story. With so many overlapping stories that drive our daily lives, it can be really difficult to find the thread we are supposed to follow. Therapy is about understanding where you’ve been and deciding where you want to go next.

Areas of focus

I work with a wide range of clients, including those navigating anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, and identity challenges. I specialize in supporting individuals in the LGBT community, helping them explore their identity, relationships, and the complexities that come with being your authentic self in a world that doesn’t always understand. Together, we’ll use evidence-based practices and practical strategies to empower you to live a life that feels true to you.

My approach is conversational, collaborative, and grounded in research. Whether we’re tackling anxiety, working through trauma, or navigating the complexities of relationships, I integrate techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness, alongside a narrative lens that empowers you to find your “main character energy” as we redefine your story together. My role is to offer a space where we can talk about the hard stuff while also finding new ways to view your experiences and create more empowering narratives. I speak fluently in pop culture and metaphors to help add perspective to the world around us. Imagine me as your non-biased lab partner as we seek to understand the mysteries in your life.

I welcome clients who are ready for change, even if they’re unsure what that looks like yet. My ideal clients are those who are navigating tough emotions, struggling with self-worth, or feeling disconnected from their relationships and identities.  I lean heavily into positive psychology, we can’t pretend the bad doesn’t exist, but we can highlight the good things in your life and work to build from there. I am primarily based in our Lumberton office, but do see clients online as well. Your time is important, and life is hectic, I want to make this process as smooth and comforting as possible.

Who I am out of the office

Outside the office, you can find me enjoying time with my dog, Dodger, who reminds me of the value of patience and mindfulness every day. I’m also passionate about practicing self-care, staying active, and being a lifelong learner. I hold a master’s degree in counseling, and my advocacy for mental health is driven by a desire to break the stigma that surrounds emotional wellbeing.

Let's talk about your mental health.

In therapy with me, there’s no judgment—just an open space to explore who you are, where you’ve been, and where you want to go. You’re not broken, but together we can rewrite the parts of your story that feel limiting and help you step into a more empowered, authentic version of yourself.
