Mental Health is not just a career for me, it’s a passion.  Throughout our lives we all go through difficult stages of change. Some days it may be hard to see the light.  Just know you don’t have to travel down these roads alone. I want to help you understand your journey, while helping you reach your goals. Sometimes life just happens and obstacles get in our way. Together, we can navigate around those obstacles and chose a path that’s right for you. I want to work with you in a therapeutic environment, while helping you to heal.

My Social Work career began after receiving my Bachelor’s Degree from Lamar University in 2010. Upon graduation, I began working for Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. There, I worked with families and children of all ages who were victims of domestic violence, physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. After working a few years, I decided to return to graduate school. I attended the University of Houston and graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2014

As a student, I interned with The United States Department of Veteran Affairs. There I received training in trauma and grief related issues. I spent most of my time working directly with combat soldiers and their families. Upon graduation, I accepted a full-time position with the VA and still enjoy working closely with our Nations heroes.

At NewPath, I currently provide therapeutic treatment to individuals and children. I treat a broad range of issues including; anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, medical issues, anger, sexuality, personality disorders, PTSD, grief, emotional regulation and addiction. I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities and will find one that is right for you.
