When we are confronted with life’s challenges, we can become overwhelmed and lose hope. My goal is to assist individuals, couples, and families in finding hope for life’s journey. I am a keen listener to the client’s story. I am able to process quickly in session as well as process overtime between sessions to help put the pieces together. I understand the brain/emotion connection as well as the brain/body connection and am willing to work as hard as any client is willing to work on their journey. I have an innate ability to challenge clients to release and move on. My creative, curious mind allows broader range of thought processing and allows thinking that is “out of the box”.

I have worked for over 20 years with both adolescents and adults. I assist my civilian and military clients to work on issues ranging from grief and loss, low self-esteem, life transitions, relationships, divorce and remarriage, and work-related concerns. I work with emotional health issues such as mood and anxiety disorders. I am highly experienced working with Bariatric surgery patients providing pre-surgical evaluations and post-surgical support for patients planning to undergo or who have completed bariatric surgery. I am also trained and incorporate Internal Family Systems Therapy into my work.

My husband, Shannon, and I blended our families together 14 years ago. It has been a wild ride but well worth it. We have three wonderful, unique adult children Lauren, Katherine, and Tyler. Recently, my husband and I decided to uproot from Colorado and move to my roots of South East Texas. So excited to be starting a new practice and life and look forward to working with all of you!
