I am confident that the ability for change is in every person willing to work for that change. This can be accomplished through listening, learning and teamwork. I truly believe anyone can create change for a better future and I am willing to help make that change a reality.

I began my career by earning an Associate of Liberal Arts in Social Work in 2008. I used this education, not only as a young mother and wife, but to also volunteer for both a women’s society and a children’s group in my area. I entered the education field by working for Woodville Independent School District in 2010 and then Lamar University in 2012. In 2013, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology where my love for human interaction blossomed. I have earned a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University August of 2017. As my career progresses,  I look forward to the treats I  have ahead of me.

My spouse, two children and I live in Tyler County with our pug and a wealth of friends and family. As a family, we love hiking, traveling and trying new foods. I am a co-leader for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop and love spending time with her as part of the troop. My son keeps me entertained with his tech savvy nature and inventions. My husband and I enjoy writing stories together and look forward to quiet days of make believe and wonder.
